A reseller can access the SLASCONE reseller portal after receiving a reseller invitation from the vendor.
Access rights and permissions in the reseller portal are defined by the vendor. Depending on the configuration, a reseller may be allowed to manage customers, licenses, colleagues, and email settings.
Technically, the reseller portal is a reduced version of the vendor portal. As a result, the main views, such as customers and licenses, follow the same general structure.
BRANDING
In most cases, the reseller portal should reflect the vendor's corporate identity. You can configure elements such as colors, titles, and the favicon in the administration area of the vendor portal.
PRODUCT VIEW
The product view shows the products and editions for which the reseller is allowed to create and manage licenses. How a vendor restricts product and edition access for a reseller is described here.
A reseller cannot modify the product itself, but can access the relevant product-related analytics.
CUSTOMER VIEW
If the reseller has been granted the required permission, it can create and manage its customers directly in the reseller portal.
The corresponding authorization is defined by the vendor in the administration area of the vendor portal.
Please note that the vendor always retains access to these customers.
LICENSE VIEW
If the reseller has been granted the required permission, it can create and manage licenses directly in the reseller portal.
The corresponding authorization is defined by the vendor in the administration area of the vendor portal.
ADMINISTRATION
Reseller users can also invite and manage their colleagues within the reseller portal.
A reseller user can also define which email configuration should be used for outgoing emails. Depending on the configured settings, the reseller may either inherit the vendor configuration or define its own email configuration. For more information, see EMAIL CONFIGURATION.
