SLASCONE is a business-critical licensing and analytics platform. For this reason, our operational approach includes proactive monitoring of key system components and automated alerts for critical availability or performance conditions.
The goal of proactive monitoring is to detect relevant issues early, notify the responsible SLASCONE team members, and allow us to react before customers are significantly affected.
MONITORING SCOPE
SLASCONE uses Microsoft Azure monitoring capabilities to observe the health, availability, and performance of core platform components.
Depending on the deployment model and system architecture, monitoring can include components such as:
SLASCONE API availability
Application performance and resource usage
Database availability and utilization
Storage and supporting Azure resources
Infrastructure-level health signals
ALERTING
Alerts are configured for conditions that may indicate availability, performance, or capacity issues. When such conditions are detected, the SLASCONE team is notified through defined internal channels.
Typical alert conditions include:
The SLASCONE API is unreachable or does not respond successfully.
Application CPU usage remains above a defined threshold.
Application memory usage remains above a defined threshold.
Database utilization remains above a defined threshold.
Critical platform components report degraded availability or health.
Alert thresholds are reviewed and adjusted as needed to reflect the operational behavior of the platform and to reduce unnecessary noise.
NOTIFICATION AND RESPONSE
When a critical alert is triggered, the responsible SLASCONE team members are notified through internal notification channels, such as email, app notifications, or SMS.
The team then investigates the alert, assesses the potential customer impact, and takes appropriate action based on the severity and nature of the issue.
Not every alert means that customers are affected. Some alerts indicate early warning signs, temporary degradation, or capacity conditions that can be handled before they become visible to end users.
SAAS AND PRIVATE DEPLOYMENTS
In the SLASCONE SaaS environment, monitoring and operational response are part of the managed service operated by SLASCONE.
In private deployments, monitoring and alerting are defined as part of the agreed operating model. Since the Azure resources run in the customer’s Azure subscription, monitoring responsibilities, access, and notification channels may depend on the agreed deployment and support setup.
CUSTOMER COMMUNICATION
If an incident has customer impact, SLASCONE communicates according to the applicable support and incident response process.
Customers can also submit a support request at any time if they experience availability, performance, or licensing-related issues.
